Learn To Express Yourself

Life is about an experience.  One of the best experiences you can have is the joy of expressing yourself.  Do you like to share your ideas with others?  Have you noticed that you felt really good when your ideas were well received and people like your ideas?

It sure makes us feel good, isn’t it?

That is why some of us want to be artists, musicians, politicians, singers and writers.  We want to express ourselves through different ways for we find the immense joy in doing so.  When a singer holds her first concert and thousands of people come to the concert just to hear her sing.  It is definitely one of the highlights of her life.

We also like to join an interest group and meet with other people who share our interest.  It gives us a sense of community and bondage with others; it gives more meaning and make us happy.  We all love to be accepted by others.

What interest or hobby do you have?

No matter what it is, like baking, flower arranging, cross-stitch, poetry, sport, horse riding and photography, etc.  Now there is a new way to connect with other people who share the same interest with you worldwide.  You can learn to express yourself on the internet; by learning how to build a website.

Post your creations or ideas on the website that you built and connect with other people.  You will find the joy of expressing yourself; this is what I am doing here – sharing my stories and my ideas with you.

Since the beginning of this website, more and more people are signing up and they want to know what I am going to post next.  I feel very good and fulfilling doing it; I got to exercise my creativity.  Also, I learn a lot of new things as well, improve my writing skill, not to mention making a little bit of money as a side effect.

It is my hobby and I do not focus on the money, just the experience of doing it.  It doesn’t cost much, less than a cup of coffee a day.  As you can see from my other articles, I am a simple person and money is not important to me.  Please see my other article “Choose to Be Poor.”

I still remembered the first time I built my website and published on the internet, I was so happy.  I showed my friends my creation which is uniquely me with my own identity.  If you have never experienced this kind of joy, I suggest you try it.

Everyone who can write simple English (or whatever language you use) can do this.  It doesn’t cost you any money to join and try; it is free.  You do need to have a reliable internet connection and a computer.   If you don’t like writing, you can just post photos or drawings.  It is your website, you can do whatever you like.

The reason I am telling you this is I value this experience and you can have the same experience too.  Please don’t focus on the money.  Learn how to build your own website, have fun and nurture your creativity.  The experience that you gain will give you value in other areas of your life.  It is really a life changing experience – now part of me lives online.

The other reason I want to create a website is I can put down all I have learnt in my life; I can pass it on to my son.  He will understand what kind of person his father is. Hopefully, he will gain wisdom and live a happier life.

Wealthy Affiliate

Wealthy Affiliate is a good company and their goal is to teach people how to build an online business.  It is called Internet Marketing or Affiliate Marketing.  It is not just a company, Wealthy Affiliate is an online community, a community of like-minded people who want to learn how to build websites.

Some of us do it as a hobby and some run it as a business.  We have teenagers and also older people who are already retired.

What do we do at Wealthy Affiliate?

Besides building websites, we make new friends, we tell jokes, we post photos and any other topics that you like – just like Facebook.  The only difference is we care for each other and we help each other; just like real friends.  This good community spirit which I don’t see anywhere else. (One of my friend in Wealthy Affiliate wants me to visit him – the only trouble is he is too far away from me, he lives on the opposite side of the globe.)

There were a few fund raising exercises to help some members who cannot afford to pay their member fees.  This is really exceptional, I feel so lucky to be here.

Learning new things will keep us young.  Your grandson might say, “Grandma, you have your own website? That’s cool.”

It is not that difficult to build a website, everyone can do it.  If you need help, just ask – there are always someone willing to help you.

You don’t have to believe me, come and try it yourself.  Have fun.
