Which One Is You? Goodies, Baddies or Blankies

I have been very lazy lately and have not been writing my story.  I must apologize to my fans who are following my articles.  There have been more people registering on my website and I thank you for your support and take the time reading my writing.  Please leave me comment on your thoughts and let me know if you like my articles or you think my articles are utter nonsense.

Angel

This title I have today might be a bit strange to you.  I will explain.

In my humble opinion, there are three categories or three kinds of people in this world.  I called them goodies, baddies and blankies.  Blankies are not blankets for babies.

Goodies

I will start with the goodies.  Goodies are the good people in our world.  They would step out of their way to help other people.  I have some very nice experience meeting someone like that in my own journey in life.

I will tell you a little story of my ex-colleague; a very nice, kind goodies and a gentleman.  In his spare time, he would do charity work and voluntary work helping old people.  He donates to charity and, of course, he will help any friends who need him.

One time I needed money for a first deposit to buy an apartment.  So I asked him to lend me some money.  He asked me how much I need and I told him.  We were at work at the time and he disappeared immediately for five minutes.  He showed up again and hand me a brown paper bag.

“What is it?” I asked him curiously.

“Return it when you feel like it,” he replied plainly.

I opened the bag and there it was, the money I asked him.

“No need to write an IOU, I trust you.” He said and he disappeared before me immediately before I could say thank you.

I looked at the money and I was so moved and didn’t know what to say.  It was not a small sum, it was almost two years salary for me.  Besides, I only knew and worked with him for a couple of years.

He was such a nice person.  I understood the reason why he disappeared again was he didn’t want me to be embarrassed or say thank you to him.  I was so lucky to have a friend like this.

He was not the only nice person I met in my life.  There were few others and I would consider myself lucky to met these goodies.  At the end, I didn’t buy the apartment and I returned the money to him few days later.  The reason why I didn’t buy the apartment was another story.

I think the reason why I could met such people is I am always genuine.  I can tell anyone about myself without hiding anything – good, bad, embarrass or naughty.  So they would see me as a truthful person so they can trust me.

Baddies

You should know who the baddies are.  The criminals and those who would hurt other people to get what they want.  Luckily, I have not seen many of them.

It might be my character.  I tend to stay away from people who have behaviors that I don’t like.  Or perhaps they stay away from me because I will tell them off if I see the things they do are wrong.  I would not care if he is the president or he is my boss.

I remembered I told a guy that I don’t like him smoking.  He didn’t talk to me ever since.  To me, I have not lost anything.  Everyone knows that smoking is bad for your health; I was just telling the truth.

I might not be very tactful but that is me – truthful, and all my friends and families know that.   My wife would tell me I am childish because of that.  The good thing is, she would know exactly how I think or act in certain situation.  As plain as a piece of paper, or as stubborn as an ox.

All I have to say about the baddies is, “stay away from them!”

Blankies

You all know what goodies and baddies are, no need for me to explain.  In our world, around 5% of all people are goodies and also around 5% of people are baddies.  The rest which contribute to 90% of all people I labelled them as blankies.

Here is my definition of blankies – blankies are people who are neither good nor bad.  They are unwilling to help others and they would not do anything purposely to hurt others.  If the things that they did would indirectly hurt other people, they would not care or they would pretend they don’t know about it.

Give you a few examples of a blankie.

– A blankie would not tell the supermarket teller if he received more change than the correct amount.  They would keep the money and say to themselves, “My lucky day.”

– A blankie would not help someone who’s car is broken down and pretend they didn’t notice. They would tell themselves as they walked away, “I am busy, I don’t have time.”

– They do not have a concrete idea of what is right or wrong.  There are things that to them belongs to the grey area.  For example, a child stealing a loaf of bread when hungry is not wrong.  Stealing money from rich people is okay because they have plenty.

Blankies are people who only care about their own self and everything they do have to be for their own benefit.  You might say these are just normal people.  You are correct, they are just normal people.

The reason why I called normal people as blankies because you can write anything on a piece of blank paper – good or bad.  Depends on the circumstances, so blankies can be good people at time and they can be bad if situation arises.  Unlike the goodies who would not change even if their life is at stake.

My friend Jerry called the blankies – smart people.  They are smart and they know where to get the best discount when shopping.  They know how to invest and make money. They are happy about saving more money and making more money.  Money is one of their most important subject – perhaps the only subject.

Conclusion

If making money and living a comfortable life is all you dream or care about, then what is the point of living?  I feel sad when I understand that most people are living their life in this way.

I want to know which one are you?

I urge you to spend some time to think.  Think about what life is all about and how to live a more meaningful life.  If all you think about is you, then what would that mean?

If you want to go to heaven after you die.  Would your God be proud of you?

Have you ever considered about adding a little bit more
than just your articles? I mean, what you say is important and all.
However think about if you added some great pictures or video clips
to give your posts more, “pop”! Your content is excellent but with pics and videos, this
site could definitely be one of the best in its field.
Terrific blog!
